Reclaimed water discharged due to line break near Tampa Bay

On February 27, 2025, a line break resulted in the discharge of approximately 7,962 gallons of reclaimed water at the 200 block of 58th Ave. S. According to reports, around 1,000 gallons were contained on site. Approximately 2,500 gallons entered the storm drain system, while an estimated 4,000 gallons made their way into Tampa Bay.

The incident highlights potential environmental concerns regarding water management and infrastructure integrity in the area.
