June 5, 2024 - With neighborhood health and safety as one of St. Petersburg Mayor Ken Welch's key pillars for progress, the city has launched 'Safe Summer' activities aimed at ensuring the safety of children throughout the summer.
The City of St. Petersburg has announced its pursuit of funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Florida Division of Emergency Management for a Flood Mitigation Assistance Program Grant. Public comments on this initiative will be accepted for 30 days from the date of this notice, June 4, 2024.
Last week, Mayor Kenneth T. Welch was joined by City officials, Nicole Berman (Executive Director of St. Pete Pride), and members of the St. Pete Pride board at the Pride Month Flag Raising at City Hall to officially kick off the start of Pride Month season. The month of June will be filled with events and engagement opportunities for the LGBTQ+ community and allies.
