St. Petersburg City Council will reconvene for an additional Committee of the Whole meeting on July 16, followed by a City Council meeting on July 18 for the final vote on the Historic Gas Plant District Redevelopment project.

The Committee of the Whole (COW) meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 16, at 9 a.m. in Room 100 at St. Petersburg City Hall, located at 175 5th St. N. The meeting will include discussions involving the Stadium and Development Agreements for the redevelopment project. Attendees will include members of the St. Petersburg City Council, Mayor Kenneth T. Welch, and representatives from Tampa Bay Rays and Hines.

Although COW meetings are public, there will be no opportunities for public comment. Due to limited seating in Room 100, overflow accommodations will be provided in City Council Chambers. The public is encouraged to watch the live broadcast of the meeting on SPTV at www.stpete.org/tv or on channels 641 (Spectrum), 15 (Wow), and 20 (Frontier).

Media representatives are requested to RSVP in advance due to limited seating capacity. Only one reporter and one photographer from each news outlet will be permitted in Room 100 simultaneously. Credentials can be obtained by emailing communications@stpete.org.

Following this session, the City Council will hold a vote on Thursday, July 18, at 11 a.m., also at St. Petersburg City Hall in Council Chambers at the same address. This meeting will finalize decisions regarding moving forward with the Historic Gas Plant District Redevelopment.

Similar to COW meetings, City Council meetings are open to the public but have limited seating in Council Chambers with overflow available in Room 100. The public is again encouraged to view proceedings live via SPTV or designated television channels.
