The City of St. Petersburg's Development Review Commission (DRC) is currently accepting applications for an upcoming vacancy. The DRC serves as the Land Development Regulation Commission (LDRC) under the Local Government Comprehensive Planning and Land Development Regulation Act, tasked with reviewing and evaluating proposed modifications to the Land Development Regulations. This excludes certain historic and archaeological preservation matters, which fall under the Community Preservation Commission.

Additionally, the DRC functions as the Design Review Board, assessing development proposals within the city to ensure they comply with the Comprehensive Plan, zoning ordinance, and other relevant city regulations.

The commission convenes on the first Wednesday of each month at 1:00 p.m. in the City Council Chamber of City Hall, located at 175 5th St. N.

Applicants must be residents of St. Petersburg and preferably have qualifications and experience in fields such as architecture, planning, landscape architecture, engineering, construction, land use law, or real estate.

Further information about the Development Review Commission and application details can be found at stpete.org/DRC.
